The stadium, entrusted with the responsibility of hosting EURO 2004 and other prestige and large-scale events, is evaluated by the rigorous standard of the facilities and general conditions that it offers. The building, with it four floors on the west stand, has the following amenities:

Stadium Algarve has a capacity for 30.305 spectators, seated in the following manner:

West Satnd        9.420 spectators

East Stand       10.761 spectators

North Stand       5.062 spectators

South Stand       5.062 spectators

Out of a total of 30.305 spectators, 266 seats are reserved for VIP's and 54 seats for VVIP's. Two-thirds of the seats are covered.

Twenty food and beverage stands are planned for the four stands of the stadium on the 1st and 4th floors, as well as a panoramic restaurant on the 3rd floor of the west stand that can accommodate 250 people.

The stadium has 20 access doors to the inside of the stadium itself, 53 turnstiles with optical ticket scanning that lead spectators to the 45 accesses to the stands via wide corridors designed to prevent congestion and assist people with impaired mobility.
