 Aim

 The firm “EPC, Loulé/Faro (EEIM)” aims to promote, plan, and manage the public enterprise called Parque das Cidades, whose planning area is foreseen by the amended Municipal Regulation (RCM n.º 64-A/2001, dated 31^st May), assuring and developing in following ways/means of intervention:    

 a)       To promote, plan, and develop activities within the limited areas as also adjacent areas of the Parque das Cidades area;

b)        To promote, maintain, upkeep and manage the urban infrastructures belonging to Parque das Cidades;

c)        To promote, supervise and manage the collective equipments at Parque das Cidades, namely the ones affected to services related to education, culture, health, sports, leisure and tourism, as also to environmental education, in partnership with interested entities;

d)         To give support in terms of logistics, material and administration and work together with partner entities to fulfil the aims of Parque das Cidades;

The “EPC, Loulé/Faro (EEIM)” may also develop services of general kind or services in favour of “Associação de Municípios Loulé/Faro” (Municipal Association Loulé/Faro), directly, indirectly, wholly or partially related to the main object, aimed to support or increase its mission, develop, manage and supervise projects and plans, supervise, inspect and manage public enterprises or equipments, infrastructures, urban management and technical and operational expertise. 

Local development and services rendered by the Municipal Association Loulé/Faro to “EPC, Loulé/Faro (EEIM)”, are object of contract-programs or management contracts, along with the delegation of powers to fulfil the firm’s mission.

The Firm - Empresa de Concepção, Execução e Gestão do Parque das Cidades, Entidade Empresarial Intermunicipal – EEIM, presented in 2008 net profit of 8.108, 95 €.

Main points:

•  Sales and/or Rendering of services reached 636,000 €  
• Costs of exploration represent a tax of budgetary execution of 97,1%

• Profits of exploration represent a tax of budgetary execution of 94% 
• A 16% growth in  the  financial autonomy  of the firm.
