Estádio Algarve hosts The atlantic cup

The atlantic cup

Brondby and Odense, from Denmark and Elfsborg and Helsingborg from Sweden are the four teams to take part in the first “The atlantic cup”, taking place in the Algarve Stadium on 27th, 28th, 30th January and 3rd February.

The event comes from an organisation connected with ex-Benfica player and internationally well known Swede Stefan Schwarz, and Sporting Events Limited – with the full backing of Loulé and Faro municipalities.

The teams will arrive here on 25th January, with the first match scheduled for 8pm on 27th, between Odense and Brondby.

Free admition to all the matches of  tornament.

The following day at the same time sees the game between Elfsborg and Helsingborg – and on 31st, there’ll be two matches: Elfsborg-Brondby at 5pm, and Helsingborg-Odense at 8pm.

The last day of the tournament sees the final double session - Elfsborg-Odense at 5pm and Helsingborg-Brondby at 8pm, and then the winning team will be pronounced, with the awarding of various trophies.

According to the promoter of the event, Sporting Events Limited ,the Algarve has excellent conditions for football training camps, a quality destination for Scandinavian and top European clubs as well as the hospitality being  a great factor towards having this tournament here year after year.
