Algarve Women`s Cup 2010/Mundialito de Futebol Feminino

The Algarve will be hosting, for the 17th year in a row, the “Mundialito de Futebol Feminino" / Algarve Women’s Cup 2010.

The  Mundialito de Futebol Feminino / Algarve Women’s Cup 2010 will start on the 24th of February, with various matches throughout the Algarve.

Estádio Algarve will be hosting 4 matches, 2 matches on the 1st and 2 matches on the 3rd of March.

The Semi-final match and the Final will tack place at the Estádio Algarve.

The Algarve Cup 2010 will involve about 500 people (National Teams, official committees, international women referees, organization, journalists, etc.) and be assisted by national as also international media professionals, coming from several parts of the world. The foreign media group is normally the major one. 

Regarding this tournament, FIFA has been responsible for the organization  of (since 2005), and also with the cooperation of  FPF(Portuguese Football Federation) as well as the  AF Algarve,  a  workshop for international women referees ,  coming from more than 40 countries.

The Portuguese Women’s Soccer Team will be training in the Algarve, and competing with the Teams from Austria, Romania and Faroe Islands in stadiums yet to be announced. The matches will be transmitted by one of the Portuguese TV stations.

The team which had won the last year’s Tournament was Sweden.
